Call for Papers
The Talk of Tyler is a student-run magazine organized by the Master of Public Policy program to feature the voice of William & Mary’s student body. It is looking for student-produced, short-form articles to publish for its inaugural issue this fall.
Submissions are open to students in all programs (undergraduate, graduate, law, MBA, and Ph.D). Articles should be 3-10 pages long, and may discuss any topic or theme so long as it is related to policy. Articles must be submitted in Chicago-style, and will be subject to light-touch editing and peer review.
Selected submissions will be featured in The Talk of Tyler’s fall issue. The magazine will be sent to all regular subscribers of the Policy Review, a peer-reviewed academic journal also published by the students of the Public Policy program.
Additionally, there is an opportunity to be featured on the Policy Review’s blog, which posts weekly articles also related to policy. If The Talk of Tyler staff finds a submission it feels is best suited for a blog post, it will contact the author accordingly.
Please send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘Talk of Tyler Article Submission’. Deadline for submissions is November 4. Authors selected for publish will be notified by November 11.
Example article topics include but are not limited to:
Climate change or environmental issues
